The parallel computing functions are supported without any additional parallel computing libraries such as MPI and PVM. The operation has been confirmed only on Linux (but it may work on other operating systems). This patch assumes the use in a multiple-computer system consisting of a master computer (your console) and some slave computers. Example usage: Run Octave with "--server" option on every slave computer $ octave -s Run Octave without "--server" option on the master computer $ octave Open the connections among host1, host2 and host3: > hosts = [ "host1"; "host2"; "host3" ]; > sockets = connect (hosts); Remote execution of commands can be done as > reval("load 'test.mat';",sockets(2,:)); Send the variable x: >
