This is a bug fix release for some serious memory leak bugs. There is also support for creating libgmp as a shared library for most target platforms. In fact, already GMP 3.0 supported that--we just forgot to list it in the NEWS file and release announcement. This release also has some important manual fixes. For more details, see the NEWS file that comes with the release.
