I ran through a few functions from my signal processing library, and found them pleasant enough to use. I had to make a dummy file_in_loadpath since it does not exist in my version of octave. I created pretty.cc because str=disp(x) did not work. There may be a better way in octave 2.1.xxx. Update assert if that is the case. Someone who knows about strstreams should check that I haven't done anything stupid. I ran it on some really big strings and nothing seems to crash. I really need to get back to my signal processing work, so feel free to fix anything that's broken or is not to your liking. Though do let me know since I will be distributing a version with signalPAK and it would be silly to fork it.
