There's a really nice package called Interviews from Stanford University and Silicon Graphics. It's in public domain. Interviews is written in C++ and has a powerfull library. In addition it's very well documented. Interviews and its documentation reside at ftp://ftp.sgi.com/graphics/interviews I use it as a part of NEURON, a simulation program for modeling neural electrical activity. http://neuron.duke.edu Neuron uses a C++-like scripting language and makes calls to Interviews through its interface. Interviews run on on all flavors of UNIX and has been successfully ported, along with Neuron, to windows 95/NT and Mac. If you are interested, you can ask Michael Hines (hines at yale dot edu) for help. He is the author of NEURON and Interviews interface with Neuron. On the top of that Michael is a really nice guy. You can also have a look at the Neuron sources to get an idea on how Interviews is interfaced with NEURON. Good luck, P.S. I wish I had time to do it myself ! -- Karim Elaagouby Information Systems Analyst idealab! http://www.idealab.com
