John, I'll be grateful if you could join these routines to the official distribution of Octave, including the Image Processing Toolbox. Although most of the misc. routines are trivial, it is important they appear in Octave as early as possible, to provide MATLAB users the required compatability ( + more sophisticated features :) ). --
