Yes, I know about the closing with the "X" problem, but have ignored it 
for now as the rest works, and getting an error when you deliberately 
closing the application in any doesn't seem like a major problem to me...

I'm not sure the IDE will be that hard for someone who is inclined to 
write GUI applications (I'm more into writing video device drivers than 
GUI's myself). There are plenty of tools to make this easier. There was 
even an e-mail a couple of days ago of someone wanting to write an XDE 
under IBM's eclipse software. Don't know want help will be under windows 
though ....
