Octave 2.1.25 is now available for ftp from ftp.che.wisc.edu in the
directory /pub/octave/bleeding-edge along with a patch from the
previous version:

Please note that the patch file is a shell script, not just a set of
diffs.  Sometimes that doesn't matter, but this time it does, because
there are some extra commands in there to move files around before
patching them (so that the size of the diffs can be reduced).
