Subject: gnuplot and reverseVideo on Linux

Does anyone know how to get octave to use gnuplot's
reverseVideo feature.  I have "gnuplot*reverseVideo : on"
in my .Xdefaults file and it works when I use gnuplot from
the command line but not with octave.  I try to use dark
colors for my window backgrounds and when the gnuplot
window from octave appears it is very bright and
distracting.  I usually have to minimize it while I work on
other things.  Thanks for any help.
