Tiny parts of it are derived from xterm.c from the X11 distribution, whose copying conditions are compatible with GPL. Take this as an authoritaive statement of mine, as I had to address this issue when building the plplot package for Debian (a distribution that is very picky as WRT copying conditons and copyrights). MV> Web page: http://emma.la.asu.edu/plplot/ For those happy users of Debian, you could mention: Debian package: http://www.debian.org/Packages/stable/math/plplot.html You might also include a pointer to GtkDataBox, a Gtk widget for plotting numerical data. Its home page is: http://www.eudoxos.de/gtk/gtkdatabox/index.html Here is the description (from the home page): GtkDatabox is designed to display large amounts of numerical data fast and easy. Thousands of data points (X and Y coordinate) may be displayed without any problems, zooming and scrolling is already included (this will be optional in the near future). The widget may be used as display for oscilloscopes or other applications that need to display fast changes in their data. At the present time only dotted curves or lines may be used, but color representation of 3-dimensional data is planned for the near future. Although GtkDataBox is not meant to be a scientific plotting tool, it may be a source of inspiration. There is at least one application that uses GtkDataBox: Gfit, found at: http://www.eudoxos.de/gtk/gfit/index.html -- Rafael Laboissiere Institut de la Communication Parlee | Email: rafael at icp dot inpg dot fr UPRESS A CNRS 5009 / INPG | Voice: +33 4.76.57.48.49 46, av.
