I have saved all 8 messages that have been sent to the list since I
created it in October 1996, but they are not currently available via
the web the way the other lists are.  I can easily fix that though, so
you can go and read the few messages that were send way back when.
I'll try to have them available by early next week (check the mailing
list archive page in a few days and bug me again if it is not ready).  

Apparently, interest in discussing this stuff waned pretty quickly
last time around.  Perhaps we can keep history from repeating itself
this time.
