From help-request at octave dot org Wed Jan 12 08:09:54 2005 Subject: AMPL interface From: Andrey Romanenko To: help at octave dot org Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2005 13:59:23 +0000 Hello, Sorry for bring this again, but I would like to ask the following: Now that octave has "suboptimal" optimization capabilities and there are nice tools in the COIN-R project under the CPL (which is not compatible with the GPL), would it be viable to interface Octave and those tools by formulating optimization problems in the AMPL language? May one use it freely? Or would it be better to implement an XML based interface? Thank you very much.
