From help-request at octave dot org Wed Dec 7 06:47:45 2005 Subject: Octave-based GUI programs From: "Otto Maddox" To: help at octave dot org Date: Wed, 07 Dec 2005 12:45:39 +0000 I have some Matlab code for audio processing. I'd like to move it over to an open source environment like Octave (or perhaps even R or SciPy). I need to write a GUI for audio editing, probably using GTK+. I'd like Octave to do all the numerical stuff. I've seen http://octave-gtk.sourceforge.net/. But is it possible to do it in reverse, to use Octave like a library and call its functions from a C program? I have a feeling it might be easier to do the fiddly GUI stuff this way. -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Choose from over 50 domains or use your own ------------------------------------------------------------- Octave is freely available under the terms of the GNU GPL.
