Subject: Octave - MySQL Interface

I'm just looking into Octave and am wondering if anyone is aware of any
existing functionality that would allow me to query a MySQL database from
Octave?

If not, could anyone provide any pointers/examples to get me started if I
were to develop such a module?  Is it possible to do this using Java?
