Well, octave compiled very cleanly here on Solaris 8 after I put entire
GNU toolchain on it. Now I think to remember that non-GNU sed had
some problems with very long lines...
Anyway here is what I got:

autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.57

make -v
GNU Make version 3.79.1, by Richard Stallman and Roland McGrath.
Built for sparc-sun-solaris2.8
