From help-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Mon Jan 19 09:46:59 2004 Subject: Octave-forge tk_octave won't compile. From: Pedro Tarrafeta To: help-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2004 09:35:39 -0600 Hi, I'm trying to install octave-forge tk_octave but I can't get it to compile on my Suse Linux 8.2 laptop. Following the instructions I did compile octave 2.1.50 with support for threads. Then when I run configure for octave forge I get the following: ............ checking for tcl.h... yes checking for tk.h... yes checking for Tcl_Init in -ltcl... no checking for Tk_Init in -ltk... no checking for blt.h... yes checking for Blt_Init in -lBLT... no checking for vtk/vtk.h... no ................ And then: octave-forge is configured with octave: octave (version 2.1.50) mkoctfile: mkoctfile for Octave 2.1.50 X11 support: yes tk_octave: TCL/TK missing, BLT missing and without VTK (no 3-D support) ..................... I have reinstalled Tcl/Tk, messed with this and that and I can't get it right. I might be missing something... any clues?
