From help-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Mon Dec 17 22:45:44 2001 Subject: Win2K - start: start: No such file or directory From: To: Date: Mon, 17 Dec 2001 22:44:23 -0600 I am experiencing a similar problem to what others have described under windows 2000 professional. If I click on the octave icon a dos window flashes a one-liner too fast to read. If I run the octave.bat file from a command window I get an error (verbatim) start: start: No such file or directory Typing 'start' from the command line does open a new window as it should (start does exist), but for some reason the batch file blows up. Windows 98 works just fine. -dnult ------------------------------------------------------------- Octave is freely available under the terms of the GNU GPL.
