From help-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Tue Feb 1 11:03:56 2000 Subject: I *do* have ncurses! From: Dirk Laurie To: help-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu (Octave Help List) Date: Tue, 1 Feb 2000 19:04:15 +0200 (SAST) I downloaded the recently announced 2.0.16 and ran configure. It said it could not find any of libncurses etc. But I'm running RedHat 6.0 and I do have ncurses. Here is the proof: [dirk at wskdpl dirk]$ rpm -q ncurses ncurses-4.2-18 [dirk at wskdpl| dirk]$ rpm -ql ncurses dirk]$ rpm -ql ncurses | grep lib /usr/lib/libform.so.4 /usr/lib/libform.so.4.2 /usr/lib/libmenu.so.4 /usr/lib/libmenu.so.4.2 /usr/lib/libncurses.so.4 /usr/lib/libncurses.so.4.2 /usr/lib/libpanel.so.4 /usr/lib/libpanel.so.4.2 So why can't Octave's configure find it?
