If you are interested in the software and think it would be useful to
have under the GPL, then perhaps you should ask them, though it may be
more effective if someone on the list actually knows the authors, as
they may have more influence and a better chance of convincing them to
change their copyright.  But I suppose it can't hurt much to ask
anyway.  It would be best if other people would take on tasks like
this as I am already quite busy.
