From help-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Thu Sep 9 02:37:37 1999 Subject: inverse error fcn From: Rolf Fabian To: "'help-octave'" Date: Thu, 9 Sep 1999 09:42:10 +-200 Hi, following the discussion in the bug-list about inverse error function, I've a little comment: Is it really a good idea to introduce it as 'erfinv' instead of 'inverf' ? The name 'inverf' has been adopted by gnuplot since a long time? (REM no idea about matlab naming compatibility) In general, shouldn't OCTAVE try to follow a common strategy for implementation of inverse functions in the future by simply adding an 'inv' prefix to the fcn-name?
