Subject: ranges in parametric plots

I am using gsplot in parametric mode.  I am trying to use the range
argument for gsplot to set all my axes the same so I get appropriate
scaling, but it doesn't seem to work

gsplot [-1:1] [-1:1] [-2:1] ...

only sets the range of the x-axis, and it's control seems to
be from the third argument.  When I turn off parametric mode,
all becomes fine and the axis ranges get set correctly.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?
