This question is more specific to Gnuplot, but I hope that there is people in the list that can help me. I want to take the output of the plots of Octave and "edit" them with xfig. I looked up in the man page and interactive help for Gnuplot with no success for a "xfig terminal" BUT... yesterday, I found the following in the "help set size" of Gnuplot: >> G N U P L O T >> Linux version 3.5 >> patchlevel 3.50.1.17, 27 Aug 93 >> last modified Fri Aug 27 05:21:33 GMT 1993 >> >> Copyright(C) 1986 - 1993 Colin Kelley, Thomas Williams >> >> Send comments and requests for help to >>info-gnuplot at dartmouth dot edu >> Send bugs, suggestions and mods to bug-gnuplot at dartmouth dot edu >> >>Terminal type set to 'x11' >>gnuplot> help set size >> The `set size` command scales the displayed size of the plot. On some >> terminals, changing the size of the plot will result in text being >> (...) >> For the LaTeX and Fig terminals the default size (scale factor 1,1) ^^^ >> is 5 inches wide by 3 inches high. The big Fig terminal (`bfig`) is 7 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ >> inches wide by 5 inches high. The postscript default is landscape mode >> 10 inches wide and 7 inches high. >> Note that the size of the plot includes the space used by the labels; >> the plotting area itself is smaller. It seems to me that this "Fig" and "bfig" terminals to whom the help section makes reference are related to xfig. Does anyone know something about this, or another way to handle Gnuplot output with xfig?
