 i just noticed that one can not load/save data structures in
octave :-( . hope this is fixed in 1.1.1 (or 1.1.2)


 also with addition of binary i/o, i was wondering if the image
functions saveimage(), loadimage() could be rewritten to using
binary format for images. that could save disk space requirements.
