I have successfully installed octave 1.0 on my Indigo^2 system
running Irix 4.0.5h.

I'm using gcc version 2.5.7.
With libg++ Version 2.5.3.

I have been compiling octave without a glitch since version 0.8 just
by using configure, and waiting for a while.
