I have sunos4.1.3 and gcc-2.4.5 , libg++ 2.4 and (now) gmake
3.68.

I had some problem with gmake earlier; it gave me iotrap, etc
but recenet versions 3.67 and 3.68 worked quite well.
In fact , if I recall corrrectly, 3.63 did not work for
compiling 3.64; I had to use a shell script that came with
gnu make distribution.

If your gnu make is not uptodate, update it; otherwise
I have no suggestion. Sorry
