I think you will have to include a lot more information before anyone
can help you.

How did you install Octave?  Did you build it from sources, or install
a binary package?  (If you installed a binary package and it failed,
perhaps you should contact the person or group who supplied the
package.)

complete bug report.  Please read the bug reporting guidelines at
http://www.octave.org/bugs.html before sending your report.
