I cannot reproduce this problem. I am getting more and more convinced that you have a serious problem with your system (hardware or software). Could you run "rpm -qaV" and verify that all you libraries and binaries are intact? (You should probably run "rpm -qaV > all.txt" and inspect all.txt later.)
