From bug-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Fri Jan 24 12:39:44 2003 Subject: problems with the image() function From: Radu Dogaru To: bug-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Cc: radu_d at ieee dot org Date: Fri, 24 Jan 2003 06:11:27 -0600 Hi, I have installed the octave-forge.exe kit for Windows under a Windows 2000 (logged in as Administrator). The version according to the message displayed at run is (GNU Octave, version 2.1.36 (i686-pc-cygwin)) I am quite satisfied about it except some problems in using the image() function. Since some of the messages point to the fact that some image display utility should be installed I downloaded a Windows version of ImageMagik and I installed it. Now, the following still happens: After the command >> help image the following are displayed: help image parse error near line 70 of file /usr/share/octave/2.1.36/m/image/image.m >>> bmp_name = [tmpnam () , ".bmp"]; ^ and then the content of the help. If I am doing it again the system quits Octave with the "panic" message. Similar things happen if I am trying to effectively use the command "image". Is there any way to make it run properly ?
