From bug-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Wed Oct 27 18:54:17 1999 Subject: Segmentation Fault From: Dirk Eddelbuettel To: Martin Haenggi Cc: bug-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Date: Wed, 27 Oct 1999 19:54:15 -0400 (EDT) Martin, This is not really an octave-bug, so please complain to RedHat, or to whoever built that .rpm package. The relevant paragraph from README.Linux: Octave compiles, but it won't run --------------------------------- If you can compile Octave, but it crashes with a segmentation fault right away, you probably have incompatible versions of libc and libg++ installed, or you have a version of the dynamic loader, ld.so, that is incompatible with your versions of the libraries, or both. Regards, Dirk -- According to the latest figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Octave is freely available under the terms of the GNU GPL.
