Sorry to follow up to my own post.  I looked at your patch and it
seemed reasonable, so I replied, intending to apply the patch.  Then I
looked at the sources and found that a similar change had already been
made.  Perhaps you should upgrade to 2.0.13?  And I should probably be
a bit more careful...
