I'm not sure why. Repeat-By: --------- Define an Nx3 matrix, m, where each row is a point in 3-space Define x_low, x_high, y_low, y_high, z_low, and z_high as the desired range values In this case the data lies in a single y-z plane (a single value of x) gset parametric on; gsplot [x_low:x_high] [y_low:y_high] [z_low:z_high] m Fix: --- In gnuplot itself 3-d parametric plots have two additional parametric variables that define the range (urange and vrange). Gnuplot itself allows these variables to be set. If I run gnuplot from the command line and pass it five data ranges ([0:1] and [0:1] for urange and vrange), the correct ranges appear. Unfortunately I cannot pass more than 3 data ranges to gnuplot from octave. I think gnuplot when parametric mode is set is interpreting Octave's x and y ranges as u and v ranges so that Octave's zrange becomes gnuplot's x range.
