From owner-bug-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Thu Dec 19 12:57:09 1996 Subject: Sun's compilers and Octave From: Darrel Hankerson To: bug-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Date: Thu, 19 Dec 1996 12:56:49 -0600 (CST) We depend on volunteers to make binaries for most systems. If you would like to help out, please contact bug-octave at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu dot Is there any hope of using Sun's compilers for Solaris on Sparc? I see that the configure script doesn't even like Sun's fortran compiler. As mentioned in the docs, it would be preferable to use this over f2c. I'm willing to assist (and prepare binaries), but I must emphasize that I don't know anything useful about C++. I can grant an account to you if it is of any use. Sun's compilers are available, including f77 and f90. -- --Darrel Hankerson hankedr at mail dot auburn dot edu
