Hello,

I have a couple of years of experience programming on the Macintosh with the
Mac Toolbox.  I also have a couple of years of experience programming in
Matlab on both Macs and Suns.  I am interested in working to port Octave to
the Macintosh.  Several years ago, I began working on a similar project which
I abandoned due to a lack of support.  (Starting one of these projects from
the ground up is a formidable task!)  I would like to take a shot at this
task.

What do I need to do first, and what tools and help can be made available to
assist me?
