From bug-octave-request at bevo dot che dot wisc dot edu Tue Oct 10 20:56:28 1995 Subject: Problem with Solaris 2.4 binary From: Nick Beser To: bug-octave at che dot utexas dot edu Date: Tue, 10 Oct 1995 21:55:51 -0400 (EDT) I have attempted to run octave on a Sun Solaris 2.4 system. I get the error message: ld.so.1: octave: fatal: libF77.so.2: Can't open file: errno=2. my system has libF77.so.2.1 (which when renamed to libF77.so.2 give the error message: ld.so.1: octave: fatal: relocation error: symbol not found: ___ansi_fflush: referenced in /usr/openwin/lib/libF77.so.2 I see I did not mention, that the version of octave was just ftp`ed from your binaries directory. Can you recompile it with static option enabled? I don't have fortran on this system. Thanks, Nick Beser JHU/APL
