Hi there,
This is Lin from math dept. I am a heavy matlab/octave
user. I just installed octave 1.0 on my home linux box.
I installed from binaries. Everything is normal except
that I got "broken pipe" in a strange way. Here is what I
did:
octave:1> a=1:1:10000  

I omit : so I have one page of numbers. I can use SPACE
to get page down. But I cannot quit printing the numbers:
when I use "q" or "ZZ"  then  I got broken pipe and
octave exited. I dont have this problem when I
use octave 0.79 on math SUN machines.
The binaries of octave is from sunsite.unc.edu
under /pub/Linux/apps/math/matrix/octave*.
