Dear Sir,

	About two hours ago I had sent an e-mail to you requesting for
installation steps for 'Octave', 'gnuplot' and 'DejaGnu'.

	I would also like to know when and how the 'MAKEINFO.PATCH' is applied 
to 'texinfo-3.1'. I tried " MAKEINFO.PATCH texinfo-3.1 ", and all that happened
was a call to the 'vi editor'.

	I also called " configure " and one of the message on the VDU screen
was " Configuring Octave
		for a i486-unknown-linux "
