We have also transferred the complete 'OCTAVE' distribution along with those for 'gnuplot', 'texinfo-3.1' and 'DejaGnu'. We would like to compile and install 'OCTAVE' using the source code, and NOT the binary distribution for i486. Your full instructions for the above to be achieved will be greatly appreciatedm by the staff and students of this department and the university. Please tell us HOW TO: (a) install 'gnuplot', (b) install 'OCTAVE' inclusive of appropriate command line parameters for 'configure' and 'make'. Instructions on the use of MAKEINFO.PATCH is also required, (c) install 'DejaGnu', and (c) any other useful informations. We use EPSON LQ-850 24 pin dot matrix printer and also HP Laserjet III.
