Hi,

This smells like a compiler bug, but thought I'd see if this was a known
problem.  

What I did:

1. ./configure --prefix=/local/std

2. make

What happens:

[ ... bla bla bla ... ]

f77 -O  -c zgemm.f -o zgemm.o

I'm using GNU make 3.70, gcc 2.5.8, and Sun's f77.  The same error error
occurs in some other modules, and with sunos 4.1.3.

The README lists SunOS 4.1.2 among the systems known to run octave -- am
I doing something really stupid?
