Subject: Bugs in Octave 0.76

The version of octave is 0.76.
The machine is a Silicon Graphics Iris Indigo R4000 running Irix
4.0.5F.
I have made no modifications to the source.
The program is built with the following commands:

	% ./configure
	% make


Bug 1:

If I start octave with the command `octave --norc' and press TAB in the
command interpreter, I get the message:

	error: caught SIGBUS -- stopping myself...


Bug 2:

If I start octave with the command `octave -q --norc input' where the
file input contains the line:

	a = NaN

I get the message:

	error: `NaN' undefined near line 1 column 5
	error: evaluating assignment expression near line 1, column 3
