From bug-octave-request at che dot utexas dot edu Sat Oct 9 11:27:20 1993 Subject: byte-compile errors for octave.el From: Tony Mullins To: bug-octave at che dot utexas dot edu Date: Sat, 09 Oct 93 11:27:17 EDT I tried to byte-compile (using emacs v.19 on a DEC 5000/250) the octave.el file distributed with the octave source and got the following errors: Sat Oct 9 11:20:52 1993 While compiling octave-mode in file octave-mode.el: ** comment-indent-hook is an obsolete variable; use comment-indent-function instead. While compiling octave-indent-type: ** reference to free variable oct-last-indent-type While compiling oct-block-beg-line: ** reference to free variable oct-block-beg-kw While compiling oct-block-end-line: ** reference to free variable oct-block-end-kw While compiling the end of the data: ** the function messages is not known to be defined. I don't know if they mean anything significant or not, but it might be good to check into them to see if they are easy to fix. I didn't try compiling under any earlier versions of emacs. I don't get any errors when loading a *.m file for editing and the editing functions that I have tried seem to function properly.
