From bug-octave-request Wed Oct 6 08:23:25 1993 Subject: configure and CC From: A. Scottedward Hodel To: bug-octave Date: Wed, 6 Oct 93 08:23:19 CDT John, For various reasons, I defined the CC variable in my .cshrc to use the ANSI C compiler, acc. With this variable defined in my environment, cthe octave configure script attempts to use acc instead of gcc, and as a result runs into trouble when checking for termios.h, etc. My local fix was to redefine CC=gcc prior to running configure, but I thought you might want to know about this behavior. I am installing the latest version of Octave (0.76) here at Auburn and will test out the CTRL-C patch you sent to Bruce ASAP. (I was gone for a week and have lots of catching up to do...) H A. S.
