John, more fixing of unaligned access followed by kernel access and
core dumps.  I realize this does not help you reproduce the error, but
if it happens a few more times, I will know when it is about to happen
and then save history first.  Just though I'd let you know the problem
has not gone away.  I'll try to give you a bona fide example soon.
